Live: enter a batch size to see your pre-boil volume

No login — your equipment is remembered on this device. Losses and mash settings have sensible defaults you can change any time.

  1. 1

    Set up your equipment

Batch size, efficiency, boil-off, losses. Two minutes, once, saved on your device.

  2. 2

    Plan the brew day

Brew Day gives you strike temp, every water volume, expected OG and IBU.

  3. 3

    Log what actually happened

Enter your readings, get efficiency and ABV — and your profile learns your real numbers.

The flagship

Brew Day: the sheet you keep open for five hours

One page built from every calculator on the site, driven by your profile. Plan it before mash-in, run the timers during the boil, log your readings at the end — and it tells you your real efficiency and ABV.

  • Strike volume and temperature, sparge volume, the full water ledger
  • Expected pre-boil gravity and OG from your grain bill and efficiency
  • IBUs by Tinseth and Rager, so you know why the recipe disagrees
  • Mash and boil timers with hop-addition alerts
  • Log actuals → brewhouse efficiency, ABV, attenuation — saved as your brew log

The toolbox

Every calculator, grouped the way you brew

Set your equipment once — every tool below reads it. Each one shows its formula and its source, and takes gallons or liters without asking.

Gravity & ABV

The numbers on every brew sheet.

Mash & Water

Hit your temps and volumes on the first try.

Hops

Both formulas, so you know why recipes disagree.

Yeast & Fermentation

Pitch enough, ferment clean.

Packaging

Carbonation, priming and pours that do not foam.

Mead, Cider & Cost

Same math, different sugar.

Recipe & Planning

Any recipe, your batch, your kit.

New to brewing?

Start with the three numbers that matter

You don't need every calculator on day one. Learn to read a hydrometer, know what OG and FG are telling you, and pick how you'll get beer into a glass. The rest follows.

  1. Read a hydrometer The one instrument that never lies — once you correct for temperature.
  2. Understand OG and FG Two readings, and everything from ABV to "is it done yet" falls out of them.
  3. Bottle or keg? What each costs, how long each takes, and the calculators that make either foolproof.

Math you can check

Every result comes from a published formula — Tinseth, Rager, Palmer, Daniels — cited on the page, with a “show the math” breakdown using your own numbers.

US and metric, equally

Liters, kilos and °C aren't a toggle we bolted on. Every tool takes either, remembers which you use, and formats results the way you'd say them.

Private by design

No accounts, no tracking dashboards. Your equipment profile and brew log live in your browser and nowhere else.

Honest recommendations

When a result suggests gear, it's the piece the numbers justify — and we say so when the cheap option wins. Some links earn a commission; that never changes the math.
